OPEN HOUSE – Thursday Parent-Toddler Class

Thursday - September 24, 2015 - 6:00-7:00pm

Come visit our school to find out more about our Thursday morning parent-toddler class! Specifically designed for the child who is 2-3 years of age, parents and toddlers learn together in a well-rounded, developmentally appropriate curriculum. The children’s curriculum is multi-sensory and hands-on, including experiences in art, sensory, blocks, dramatic play, large motor skills, music, and stories.

Our class also includes time for parenting discussions led by a parent educator from Bellevue College. This is a great way to meet other parents, find support in the daily issues of raising a toddler, and polish your parenting skills!

Come check out the fun and engaging learning environment for 2 -3 year olds and their parents, and meet the teacher and parent education instructor. You are welcome to bring your child!

The Sunrise Program Co-Op Preschool, part of the Bellevue College Parent Education Program, began in the fall of 1985 with a commitment to families of preschoolers in the Renton, Newcastle, Kennydale, and Issaquah communities. We provide a stimulating environment where children thrive on learning - hands on - about the world around them. We encourage investigation, interaction, and participation by sparking a child's natural curiosity and interests through play to foster a lifelong love of learning. Our curriculum offers students a greater depth and wider variety of experiences, use of more complex vocabulary, and a higher level of interaction between the children and the teacher.  We provide a nurturing atmosphere that focuses on the whole child and prepares them for school - socially, emotionally, and academically.
Our program stands out by providing learning opportunities for parents as well as children. Parents participate in the classrooms as teaching assistants, refining their knowledge of child development and behavior management skills. Monthly evening meetings feature a parent education class and short business meeting. Parents hold either a board position or another school operating position, thus contributing to the ability to maintain a low cost program.
Our school is located in Renton, WA, at North Highlands Neighborhood Center, just north of NE Sunset Blvd/Hwy 900 and east of I405, at 3000 NE 16th St. Give us a call or come to visit our school.
